His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah - may God protect him - received Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Olympic Council of Asia and President of the Qatar Olympic Committee, and the delegation accompanying him at Bayan Palace this morning during his visit to Kuwait. Sheikh Joaan conveyed to His Highness the Crown Prince the greetings and appreciation of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the sisterly State of Qatar, and His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani, Deputy Amir of Qatar. His Highness the Crown Prince asked Sheikh Joaan to convey his greetings to His Highness the Amir of Qatar and His Highness the Deputy Amir, together with his wishes for their continued health and well-being. His Highness also congratulated Sheikh Joaan on his election by acclamation as President of the Olympic Council of Asia and wished him continued success in advancing Asian sport and serving athletes throughout the continent. The meeting was attended by Chief of His Highness the Crown Prince's Diwan Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah; Minister of State for Youth and Sports Affairs Dr Tariq Hamad Al-Jalahma; and senior officials.
